Silvent, a Swedish company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of compressed air products, will launch their new Pro One air gun on September 1. In a testament to its exquisite quality of its design, the Pro One has already been honored with the international Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017.

The Pro One features a unique, ergonomic design that was developed over the course of a years-long collaboration with the renowned design agency Veryday.

“We at Silvent believe that everyone has the right to a good work environment, and we try to contribute to that end. Because the air gun is one of the most frequently used tools in the manufacturing industry, we developed Pro One – an efficient, quiet, and durable air gun,” says Anders Erlandsson, Silvent’s CEO.

Red Dot is one of the world’s largest design competitions, and has been around since the 1950s. Every year, designers and manufacturers from all over the world are invited to participate in the competition and submit their products to the jury. The Red Dot symbol has become synonymous with great design and outstanding quality; it is a recognizable and sought-after seal of approval. In 2017, Red Dot received 5500 entries from 54 counties across the globe. The jury consisted of about 40 independent designers, design professors, and journalists focused on the field of design. Together, they carefully tested, debated, and assessed every single product.

“The Red Dot winners are pursuing the right design strategy. They have recognised that good design and economic success go hand in hand. The award by the critical Red Dot jury documents their high design quality and is indicative of their successful design policy.” pronounced Professor Dr Peter Zec, the CEO of the Red Dot Award, in a prepared statement.

This year’s Red Dot Award winners will be announced today, April 3, 2017. However, the award ceremony in Essen, Germany will not take place until July 3.

“We’re extremely proud and elated about the Red Dot Award we’ll be receiving this summer. It’s a real validation of our enormous efforts to develop an air gun of the highest quality, and which is designed with the user in mind,” says Anders Erlandsson.

Photos of Silvent’s new product, Pro One, will be released on June 2, 2017. Pro One will be launched on September 1, 2017, when the product will become available for purchase in 77 countries.
